Issue #46

Well, well, well. If it isn’t the first B-Mail of 2024. Larry claims it’s too late, but we’ll say it anyway—happy new year fam. According to our estimates, it’s going to be the best one yet.

We’ve got some important breaking news to kick this one off: It’s our #1 favorite Head of Community’s birthday today, Mr. Steve Finley aka the Stove, aka Mr. Let Him Cook. We wish Steve many fruitful parlay bets on obscure sports from around the world, and an even better training block for The Spring Program. In lieu of gifts, Steve asks you please join our Million Mile Strava Challenge kicking off next week to benefit the fine folks at Fast Feet NYC. What a guy.

What else, what else? Oh, boss said our two best-sellers are back in stock. We have an iOS marathon training app now, it's the one year anniversary of GPR on Saturday, and we've a new Youtube series coming out next week. Seems like enough for now.

The B-Mail: upstate accommodations, the OTQ roadshow, our app development roadmap, the mashup no one asked for, and catching up with Will after all these years.

A TRULY EXHAUSTIVE GUIDE TO UPSTATE ACCOMMODATIONS

Some have spas, some have trails, some have quaint fireplaces with a bar where you might meet a new friend, some have it all. The possibilities are endless… in Upstate NY. Look at us, we're on the New York State Tourism Board now.

THE OTQ PROGRAM ROADSHOW: 3 CITIES IN 6 DAYS

Bandit Creative Producer and resident Johnny San Diego has been traveling all over the US this week documenting the chronicles of Bandit's OTQ Program athletes for baby's first Youtube series. Behold, a "photo essay" (read: iPhone camera roll) of Mr. Rice's road dog adventures.

EXPOSING THE PROGRAM iOS APP DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP

Hello dark mode, my old friend. We launched an app last week. It was missing a thing or two. We're fixing that and adding some bells & whistles while we're at it. We're a one-person development operation (shoutout Taylor), so send vibes. Support for London coming this Monday. More races right behind it.

Is there a connection between the two? You be the judge. Alternative titles for this post were "Kicks & Chronicles", "Loafers & Literature," and "Sneakers & Stories." Honorable mention, "Moccasins and Manuscripts." (I lost that vote by a wide margin.)
