All issuesFam, we are a go for launch!! Our first-ever footwear collaboration, the Bandit x ASICS NOVABLAST 5, is officially here after nearly 2 years in the making. Feels like just yesterday (and also 78 lightyears ago) when we got off Zoom with the ASICS team, all simultaneously closed our laptops to make sure the cameras and audio were off, looked at each other... and started cheering in the office like absolute maniacs. Getting to design a shoe for you all, with such a legendary running brand nonetheless, is a dream of intergalactic proportions come true. We poured our hearts and souls into this one and we're so grateful for all the love and support on it. We can't wait to get the shoes out into the universe and onto all of our gnarly runner feet.

What do art exhibit posters, a Japanese American artist whose work lives in their Queens, NY museum, and a designer's iconic sculpturally-inspired pleated technique all have in common? They all danced harmonically in Ardith's beautiful design mind since our kickoff meeting at Asics HQ alllll the way back in Nov '23, ultimately influencing the design of our first ever footwear collaboration.

Full Kubrick mode with the big fam. And yes, since you weren't asking, we re-built a 1:1 replica of the space tunnel from 2001: Space Odyssey for this—a piece of cinema that we had no choice but to give the ole' homage treatment given it's impact on our creative lives. We tried to make this giveaway to win ann actual trip to outerspace Richard Branson style, but that was apparently slightly out of budget and our insurance company threatened to leave us. Best we can do is three limited edition pairs of our collab shoe with a little special something inside from the team. May the odds be ever in your favor.
