26-year old Chris Maxon made his marathon debut this past December at CIM in a cool 2:10:56. That's a top 5 debut by an American ever. Not too shabby. Mr. Maxon, part of our Unsponsored Project (we'll see how long that lasts), has now set his sights on the Boston pro field... Tap in, Chris is your new favorite underdog.

04 — The OG Bandit
It wouldn't be a Boston B-Mail if we didn't throw it back to our '22 interview with the OG bandit, Bobbi Gibb. The first on record to do it, Gibb stared the no-women rule of the 1966 Boston Marathon in the face and said "not today." Called it "an act of civil disobedience for the greater good" and blazed the trail for women marathoners for generations to come. Siri, define "legend."
